This page uses simple words. It says how the EP Business Voice app (Easy Peeze Business Voice, package com.easypeeze.voice) handles your information. It follows India's data law (DPDP Act, 2023). It is not legal advice.
What the app does
EP Business Voice lets you make and take calls, send texts, and get voicemail on phone numbers in your own Twilio account. Twilio is the phone company that carries the calls and texts. You connect your Twilio account to the app. Twilio bills you directly for calls, texts, and numbers.
Who we are
Easy Peeze Tools makes this app. For a privacy question, email info@easypeeze.com.
What we receive and why
- Date of birth. Before you sign in, we ask for it to confirm that you are 18 or older. If you are under 18, you cannot sign in.
- Google account. When you sign in with Google, we receive your email, your name, and your profile picture link. We use them to open your account and show your profile.
- Twilio Account SID and Auth Token. We need them to connect to your Twilio account. We store them encrypted (AES-256-GCM). The app also keeps them in encrypted storage on your phone.
- Your phone number settings. The number you pick, call forwarding rules, the numbers you add for Follow me or ring at the same time, voicemail mode, and whether call recording is on.
- Voicemail greetings. If you record or upload a greeting, we store that audio so callers can hear it. Replacing or deleting it removes the old one.
- Picture and file attachments. When you send a picture or file in a text, we hold it for up to 2 days so Twilio can deliver it. Then we delete it.
- Phone and app details. A device ID, the phone model, the app version, and a push token. We use them to deliver incoming calls and texts to your phone and to keep your account signed in on one phone.
- Payment. If you pay on our website, we receive the payment reference, amount, currency, status, and time from Razorpay. We never see your full card number.
Where your calls and texts stay
- Your call history, texts, voicemails, and call recordings are kept by Twilio in your own Twilio account. The app reads them from Twilio to show them to you.
- When a text arrives, its sender, text, and attachment count pass through our server only to send the notification to your phone. We do not store the text.
- When you delete a call, text, or voicemail in the app, it is deleted from your Twilio account.
Call recording
Call recording is off unless you turn it on. When it is on, callers hear a short notice that the call may be recorded. Recordings are stored in your Twilio account and deleted after 30 days. You are responsible for following the recording and consent laws where you and your callers are.
Permissions on your phone
- Microphone: for calls and for recording a voicemail greeting.
- Contacts: to show names for numbers and to pick people for texts. Contacts stay on your phone. We do not upload them. New contacts you add are saved to your phone only.
- Notifications, calling, and full screen alerts: to ring and show incoming calls, even when the phone is locked.
- Display over other apps: to show an incoming call on top of what you are doing.
- Bluetooth: to use a headset during calls.
- Photos and files: only the file you pick when you attach something to a text.
You can turn any of these off in your phone settings.
Who else handles your data
- Twilio carries your calls and texts and stores your call history, texts, voicemails, and recordings in your Twilio account. Twilio's own privacy policy applies to that data.
- Google provides sign-in, push notifications (Firebase Cloud Messaging), and the cloud servers that run our service.
- Razorpay processes payments made on our website.
We do not share your data with anyone else, except when the law requires it.
Security
All data moves over encrypted HTTPS. Twilio keys and sensitive fields are encrypted when stored. Messages from Twilio to our server are checked with Twilio's signature, so others cannot fake them. Your account works on one phone at a time.
What we do not do
- We do not sell your personal data.
- We do not show ads, and we do not use an advertising ID.
- We do not use analytics or crash tracking inside the app.
- We do not listen to your calls or read your texts for any other purpose.
How long we keep it and how to delete it
- We keep your account data until you delete your account.
- To delete your account, open the app, go to Settings, and tap Close your account. Or use the delete account page.
- When you delete your account, we delete your name, email, date of birth record, Twilio keys, number settings, greetings, attachments, and signed-in phones. We delete the call recordings the app made. We give your Twilio number its own settings back and remove what the app created in your Twilio account.
- We keep a short record for 1 year, without your email, with the reason you chose for leaving. Then it is deleted automatically.
- Your call history and texts stay in your Twilio account, because that account is yours. You can delete them in Twilio.
