You do not need Acrobat Pro to sign a PDF. You also do not need to send the file to a US eSign cloud unless you want tracked envelopes and reminders (pdfFiller / Smallpdf Sign territory).

When local signing is enough
HR offer letters, NDAs between two people who already know each other, vendor onboarding, internal GRN. When MCA or the Income Tax portal demands a DSC, use a DSC.
Make the signature look less like a toy
- Scan wet ink on white paper; crop tight.
- Keep one signature image; do not invent a new scribble per document.
- Place it consistently above the line; do not stretch it into a banner.
